I wasn’t able to get a post up last week such a crazy week! But if you’re looking forward to another post this one will be more focused on recent events. Besides just sorting through the past I also want to keep record of whats going on in my life. its all part of the process.
Writing the last post really messed me up in the head. My day-to-day life is so busy that I’m usually distracted from the sexual assault I experienced. Sitting down and thinking every through really took its toll and I actually got very sick last week into this week and have been fighting it off. I didn’t think about it until just now but if you believe the mind and body work together then you’d probably agree with me that hashing the details of abuse was one aspect of me getting sick.
On Sunday afternoon I did a podcast interview under an assumed name. If you know me IRL I did this to protect my husband’s identity and eventually my children’s. I’ll be posting a link to the podcast here next Monday once its been released. There is a content warning on the interview because the show is focused on those coming out of religion and freedom in sexuality. Its very exciting!
Also, I’ll be heading to Philly on Monday to take my son Chee-Chee to get allergy testing. last Monday we followed-up with pulmonary, she referred us to get allergy tested. He’s gets a non-stop runny nose from October to April, and honestly I don’t think it really stops in the summer. And he also saw a pediatric orthopedic for foot pain he’s had over the last 8 months. He was diagnosed with Kohler’s disease which is something children grow out of. Its a lack of blood flow to a major artery in the foot and some how it just restores itself. The only thing they can do if the pain becomes persistent is to cast it. CAST A FOUR YEAR OLD. haha.
In other news, my boys will be 4 at the end of the month. We are getting them big boy bikes for their birthday’s and we are very excited! Also, one child wants a sound machine cake and the other wants a rocket ship cake.
I think that’s all I have for now.
